11.
Priority signs indicate the order of passing of intersections, crossings of separate carriageways of roads, narrow sections of roads the traffic on which is not regulated by the signals of an authorized official directing traffic or traffic lights.
-
12.
Priority signs are the following:
-
2.1. Priority road.
Gives priority of passing the intersection (crossing of carriageways)
-
2.2. End of priority.
Priority of passing the intersection (crossing of carriageways) is terminated
-
2.3.1. Crossing with a minor road.
-
2.3.2, 2.3.3. Minor road junction.
Junction of a minor road: 2.3.2 — from right, 2.3.3 — from left
-
2.3.4. Crossing of equivalent roads.
Approach to an intersection of equal roads on which the requirements of clause 110 of these Rules have effect
-
2.4. Give way.
It is necessary to give way to vehicles moving along the crossing road, and if there is panel 7.13 — to vehicles moving along the priority road, and also those coming from right along the equivalent road. The sign installed on the priority road means also the end of the priority road
-
2.5. Stop.
Movement without a stop before a “stop-line„ (horizontal road marking 1.12) is prohibited, and in case of its absence — before the edge of the crossing carriageway. It is necessary to give way to vehicles moving along the crossing road, and if there is panel 7.13 — to vehicles moving along the priority road, and also those coming from right along the equivalent road
-
2.6.1, 2.6.2. Priority of oncoming traffic.
Entry into the section of the road is prohibited if it can interfere with oncoming traffic. It is necessary to give way to vehicles being on this section of the road or approaching it on opposite lane
-
2.7. Priority over oncoming traffic.
Section of the road while moving on which the driver enjoys priority over oncoming vehicles
-
13.
Sign 2.1 is set up directly before the intersection, including with panel 7.13 — before the intersection with a complicated configuration or on which the priority road changes its direction. In this instance outside built-up areas before an intersection on which the main road changes the direction, sign 2.1 is repeated: the first sign 2.1 with panels 7.1.1 and 7.13 is installed at a distance of 100 to 150 meters to the interception, the second sign 2.1 with panel 7.13 — directly before the intersection.
Sign 2.1 installed with sign 5.22.1 or 5.22.2 gives the priority at passing all the intersections of the built-up area, situated on this road.
-
14.
Signs 2.1, 2.4, 2.5 installed at regulated intersections do not determine the sequence of passing of the intersections and separate carriageways but inform the drivers that intersections are marked.
-
15.
Signs 2.3.1–2.3.3 are used outside built-up areas for indicating roads on which the priority is given while passing intersections and are installed at a distance of 150 to 300 meters to the intersection.
Sign 2.3.4 is installed outside built-up areas at a distance of 150 to 300 meters, and in built-up areas — as a rule at a distance of 50 to 100 meters, to the intersection.
-
16.
Sign 2.4 is set up directly before the intersection, and if there is an acceleration lane — before the beginning of this lane. Before the intersection on which the priority road changes its direction, sign 2.4 shall be installed with panel 7.13.
Outside built-up areas on roads with improved surface, sign 2.4 with panel 7.1.1 or 7.1.2 is installed at a distance of 150 to 300 meters to the intersection. In built-up areas, sign 2.4 with panel 7.1.1 or 7.1.2 may be installed at a distance of 50 to 100 meters to the intersection.
